Trevor Partridge, 46, of Bowmanville then turned the videos into child pornography.
"The brutal degradation and exploitation of children is absolutely stunning," Ontario Superior Court Justice John McMahon said Tuesday during sentencing.
McMahon also designated Partridge a long-term offender for 10 years after his release, the Toronto Star reported.
Partridge pleaded guilty in July to six child pornography charges, as well as two invitations to sexual luring and touching charges and one charge of impersonating.
He posed as a younger man to chat with three girls, ages 11 to 15, and lure them into undressing and performing sexual acts.
Partridge was previously convicted in 2000 for possession of child pornography. He was sentenced to 20 months in prison.
