"He has given the last two years on his own and now, finally, he's back where he belongs," Michelle Ryan said.
Ryan, 52, who also worked as a disc jockey under the name Mr. Moonlight, was last seen June 3, 2011. Michelle Ryan told the RTE program "Crimecall" that she found her father's van a short time later and knew then that he had been the victim of a crime.
The body was found in late April in a slurry pit where farmers dump animal waste and other waste materials between Tipperary and Bansha in south-central Ireland. It was positively identified two weeks later.
The Rev. Bernie Moloney, who celebrated the funeral mass, remembered the joy Ryan brought to many people.
"Bobby had music in his heart and soul," Moloney said. "Mr. Moonlight touched the hearts of many, set the lips laughing and the feet dancing."
