House fire kills eight, injures three

DONGGUAN, China, May 6 (UPI) -- A house fire in China's Guangdong province early Monday killed eight people and injured three others, officials said.

The fire was reported to a local fire brigade at 4:18 a.m, China's Xinhua news agency reported.

Fire fighters arrive at the scene and put out the blaze in about 45 minutes, officials said.

Eight people -- three males and five females -- were found dead inside the house after the fire was extinguished.

Three people were injured and were in stable condition, Xinhua sad.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
