Greek police investigate explosion in Kalamata

KALAMATA, Greece, May 4 (UPI) -- Greek police said they were investigating an explosion in a jewelry workshop in central Kalamata that injured a pedestrian Saturday morning.

Ekathimerini said the blast occurred around 9 a.m., in the central part of the city.

There was extensive damage to the store and the force of the blast blew out windows in neighboring businesses and residences.

No cause was reported for the explosion.
