Serbia prepares normalization plan for Kosovo

BELGRADE, Serbia, April 24 (UPI) -- Serbia's government said it has formed a team to prepare an implementation plan for the European Union-brokered deal to normalize relations with Kosovo.

The plan prepared by the team will then be sent to the Serbian Parliament for its approval, the Serbian news agency Tanjug reported Wednesday.

Serbian team leaders and members will travel to Brussels Thursday to meet with Kosovo's team.

Belgrade's attitude towards normalization with Kosovo will depend on whether there will be attempts to impose some predetermined plans of implementation that will not suit Serbia, observers told Tanjug.

The EU deal came five years after Kosovo unilaterally declared independence from Serbia.
