April 21, 2013 at 1:51 PM

LUXOR, Egypt, April 21 (UPI) -- Hot air balloon rides in Luxor, Egypt, have resumed after an accident in February killed 19 tourists, aviation officials said.

Six balloons took off Sunday morning carrying tourists from multiple countries and the provincial governor, Ezzat Saad, Ahram Online said.

Egyptian Civil Aviation Minister Wael el-Maadawy said SkyTours, the company responsible for operating the balloon that caught fire and plummeted to the ground, killing all but two of those aboard, will not resume operations until the investigation into the crash is complete.

A gas canister that caught fire has been blamed for the crash, investigators said.
