ST. PETERSBURG, Russia, April 21 (UPI) -- Rescuers found the bodies of two crew members Sunday after a tug boat sank in the Neva River in Russia, emergency officials said.

"We thought that there should be bodies inside the boat... And this has happened, the bodies have been found," emergency official Alexei Anikin told RIA Novosti.

The boat crashed into the pillar of the Palace Bridge in St. Petersburg Friday night with two people on board.

The capsized boat then sank.

RIA Novosti said the investigation is ongoing.
