OTTAWA, April 15 (UPI) -- A minor 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck in western Quebec near the Ontario border Monday, rattling homes but causing no serious damage.
The Canadian Broadcasting Corp. said the epicenter of the quake was about seven miles north of Brownsburg-Chatham, Quebec, at 9:32 a.m., nearly halfway between Montreal and Ottawa, Ontario.
