VATICAN CITY, April 12 (UPI) -- More than three-quarters of Italy's non-Catholics and 92 percent of Catholics have a favorable view of Pope Francis, a poll released Friday shows.

The poll, conducted by IPR Marketing, found that 77 percent of non-Catholics in Italy said they have a positive view of the new pontiff, Italy's ANSA news agency reported.

Meanwhile 92 percent of Catholics in Italy said the same.

Francis is also drawing more people to church, with 13 percent of Catholics polled saying they have attended mass more often because of his appeal.

However, 81 percent of Catholics said Francis' election to pope has made no difference on their attendance at mass.
