Seven dead in suspected arson house fire

GANZHOU, China, April 9 (UPI) -- A suspected arson fire in a house in southeastern China killed seven people, including four children, early Tuesday, officials say.

Fire officials said the dead included a family of six and an unidentified person believed to have set the fire, the official Xinhua News Agency reported.

The blaze, reported about 3:45 a.m. local time, destroyed about 1,100 square feet of the house in the village of Longgang in Ganzhou in Jiangzi province, the officials said.
