Teens say they killed alleged rapist

UDINE, Italy, April 8 (UPI) -- Two 15-year-old Italian girls turned themselves into police and said they killed a man who allegedly tried to rape them, officials said.

The girls turned themselves in Sunday night, Italy's ANSA news agency reported Monday.

Police said the girls allegedly admitted to killing the man and then fleeing the scene in his car, which they abandoned before arriving at a police station.

The body of an approximately 60-year-old man was later found in a field outside the northern town of Udine, ANSA said.
