CHONBURI, Thailand, April 8 (UPI) -- Four Cambodian monks arrested in Thailand for allegedly soliciting passersby for money were found to be possession of pornography, police said.

Police said Monday they arrested the monks after receiving several complaints that they were asking people for donations, the Bangkok Post reported.

During a search of a hotel room where the monks were staying, police said they found a large amount of money and cell phones containing pornographic video clips.

Police said the men sent the money they collected to their families in Cambodia.
