KALININGRAD, Russia, April 5 (UPI) -- Russian police say they have found an arsenal of World War II-era weapons under a bed in a home in the western seaport city of Kaliningrad.

Several machine guns and sub-machine guns, plus 220 rounds of ammunition, were recovered, RIA Novosti reported Thursday.

The stockpile included an MG34 machine gun, MP38 and MP 40 sub-machine guns and a PPSh submachine gun, said officers with the regional Federal Security Service.

Also found were five bolts, three pistol grips with trigger mechanisms, and six gun barrels.

Local police are considering whether to open a criminal investigation.
