The two men, along with a third man sought by police, are accused of holding a foreign couple hostage for six hours in a passenger van driven by de Souza. Other passengers in the van were forced off before the abduction began.

The female tourist was raped and robbed while the male victim was handcuffed and beaten with an iron bar, police said.

The couple contacted police shortly after they were freed early Sunday morning.

Police have not identified the third suspect they are seeking.

The names and nationality of the tourists have not been released.
