TURIN, Italy, March 28 (UPI) -- Italian police said they arrested a serial bank robber Thursday who took taxis to and from his heists.
After a successful robbery, Alessandro Montemurno, 36, tipped his cab driver, or took a train home, the ANSA news agency reported.

Montemurno confessed to completing eight robberies over the past few days, police said.
"I'm homeless and I've been living the life of a drifter lately," Montemurno allegedly told police.
Police are continuing their investigation and may charge Montemurno with additional robberies, ANSA said.
