Noel Sam Abraham, 16, returned from a juvenile home Wednesday, his father told Gulf News.
"We are happy that he's back home," Noel's father Abraham Samuel said, adding that his son has been allowed to take his exams.
"He has an opportunity to appear for the school exams for the tenth grade and school management has agreed to accommodate him," Samuel told Gulf News.
Noel's school confirmed that the teen would be taking his exams, adding that he would also be allowed to take tests he missed while he was in custody.
On March 8, Noel went missing from his father's car in a grocery store parking lot. He was found 26 hours later and was initially thought to have been kidnapped. However, during police questioning, he admitted that he faked the kidnapping because he feared he would get low marks on his exams.
