JUAREZ, Mexico, March 20 (UPI) -- Heavily armed men in a moving vehicle fatally shot two agents with the Mexican Attorney General's office, police in Juarez said.

The government agents were traveling in an unmarked truck in south-central Juarez near Central Park Tuesday when the ambush occurred, the El Paso (Texas) Times reported Wednesday.

A third man traveling with the agents was wounded and taken to a hospital in critical condition.

The names of the agents killed and the man who was wounded have not been released.

Federal and Chihuahua state police are investigating the incident along with agents from the Mexican Attorney General's office.
