SWINDON, England, March 16 (UPI) -- A doctor in southern England pleaded guilty Friday to secretly filming female patients with cameras hidden inside wristwatches.

Dr. Davinderjit Bains, 45, who practiced in Wootton Basset in Wiltshire, was told he faces a long prison term, The Independent reported. Bains remained in jail awaiting sentencing in Swindon Crown Court.

Investigators said Bains fondled teenage girls and women during examinations, secretly recording his actions. They said he does not appear to have shared his recordings.

There were 361 film clips stored on his computer depicting more than 200 victims, police said. Two female officers went through the footage to identify the victims.

"They then had the task of identifying the victims and letting them know the horrible truth that the intimate examinations they had undergone had been secretly filmed by their doctor," Detective Inspector Mark Garrett, the lead investigator, said.

The investigation began when a teenager reported to police she believed Bain had filmed her in the bathroom of his home in Swindon. She said he had warned her not to move a wristwatch that was in the bathroom, one that was later found to have a tiny camera inside.
