KABUL, Afghanistan, March 11 (UPI) -- A helicopter crashed in southern Afghanistan Monday, killing five NATO soldiers, the International Security Assistance Force said.

The coalition military said there was no enemy activity in the area at the time of the crash.

CNN reported the nationalities of those who died were not released. The location of the crash site also was not disclosed.

The BBC reported U.S., British and Australian troops operate in the area.

The deaths came on the same day a man wearing an Afghan police uniform killed two U.S. soldiers and three Afghan security troops, and wounded several other people at a police station in Wardak province. The attacker was later killed by coalition forces.
