Six students killed in bus crash

JUBAIL, Saudi Arabia, Feb. 28 (UPI) -- An elementary school bus in Saudi Arabia was involved in a collision that left six students dead and at least 11 others injured, officials said.

The collision happened Wednesday afternoon on the Jubal highway in eastern Saudi Arabia, Gulf News reported.

A car struck the bus on its left side, causing major damage to the bus, officials said.

Local Arabic daily newspaper al-Sharq said three Pakistani girls, one Jordanian, one Egyptian and one Indian died in the crash.

Another local newspaper, al-Riyadh, reported people who live near the site of the crash have called for greater traffic care around Jubail, the largest industrial city in the Middle East.
