KARACHI, Pakistan, Feb. 17 (UPI) -- Customs officials in Pakistan have handed over to the Karachi Zoo more than 31 pythons illegally flown to Karachi from the United States.

The snakes were imported for a private farmhouse in Thatta; however, they were seized by the custom officials for lack of documents, Geo News reported Sunday.

A spokesman for customs said the snakes were handed over to the zoo, where they will remain until their documentation is complete.
