Philippines struck by 6.2-magnitude quake

SARANGANI, Philippines, Feb. 16 (UPI) -- A 6.2-magnitude earthquake shook the Philippines island of Mindanao Saturday, officials said. There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.

The quake had a depth of about 62 miles and was centered about 18 miles north of Sarangani, the Philippines News Agency reported.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said that it is expecting aftershocks and that no damage was reported.
