LA BAMBA, Colombia, Feb. 12 (UPI) -- A mass grave containing the bodies of five men has been found in a field in a remote part of northwestern Colombia, authorities said.
Authorities told Colombia Reports the bodies, all in an advanced state of decomposition, had been buried in a field in the village of La Bamba in Antioquia department.
All five of the victims appeared to be of African descent and were not interred with any identifying documents.
National Police Commander Gen. Jose David Guzman said the five appear to be members of the paramilitary gang "Los Urabenos" who arrived in Cartagena two months ago and were kidnapped by the rebel group FARC on Dec. 30.
