Avalanche buries 6 in Russia

MOSCOW, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Rescuers are searching for six tourists buried by an avalanche in northwestern Russia, Emergency Ministry officials said.

The avalanche occurred at 11:44 p.m. Saturday on Mount Aikuaivenchor, a popular alpine skiing destination in the Murmansk region. There had been avalanche warnings posted in the area Saturday, RIA Novosti said.
