Quebec students strip-searched during exam
MOSCOW, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- A senior police officer driving his own SUV and allegedly drunk hit two cars and a trolley Saturday morning in Moscow, killing one person, officials said.
Officials said the officer was the head of a duty group of the Russian Interior Ministry's Special Purpose Center, ITAR-Tass reported.
The officer faces dismissal from the police. The head of his department is also likely to be fired and several superior officers have been reprimanded.
Officials said the officer was at the wheel of his Land Rover at about 8 a.m. when he lost control of the sport utility vehicle and swerved into oncoming traffic.
