DAVOS, Switzerland, Jan. 25 (UPI) -- Jordanian King Abdullah Friday called on the international community to help end the Palestinian-Israeli at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

"The time to take action in the Middle East is now," Abdullah said in a speech at the forum. "If we're not too late ... the two state solution will only last as long as [U.S. President Barack] Obama's term. If it doesn't happen by then I don't think it will happen."

Abdullah said Obama's re-election is a "tremendous advantage" in the peace process, The Jerusalem Post reported.

He added within the next couple of months, Jordan and it's international partners would head to Washington to tell Obama it's time "to engage in the the Palestinian-Israeli peace process."

"For decades, Jordan has taken risks for peace, because the risk of continued conflict is much worse," the king said.

"The two state solution is the only solution," he concluded.
