Flight to Italy makes emergency landing

GENOA, Italy, Jan. 23 (UPI) -- A Ryanair flight loaded with 93 passengers made an emergency landing in Genoa, Italy, Wednesday, officials said No injuries were reported.

The budget airline had not commented on why the plane had to put down in Genoa while on a flight from Valencia, Spain, to Bergamo, the Italian news agency ANSA reported. The type of aircraft was not reported.

Airport officials halted all air traffic and evacuated landing strips where fire department and emergency crews were waiting, ANSA said.
