Blast injures 8 Afghan security personnel

KABUL, Afghanistan, Jan. 23 (UPI) -- An explosive-laden motorcycle was detonated near a convoy of Afghan security forces Wednesday, wounding at least eight security personnel, officials said.

Police said the explosion took place in Enjil district in Herat province in western Afghanistan, Khaama Press reported.

Two of the injured security personnel were in critical condition, officials said.
