JAKARTA, Jan. 22 (UPI) -- A 6-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Indonesia's Aceh province, killing one person and injuring seven, a provincial official said.

The Disaster Mitigation Agency said the quake's epicenter at sea was slightly more than 52 miles deep and was about 92 miles southwest of Aceh, the provincial capital, Antara reported.

"A 9-year old girl died after her house ... collapsed due to earthquake," said Jarwansyah, the province's Disaster Mitigation Agency director.
