CARTAGENA, Spain, Jan. 20 (UPI) -- Officials in Spain blamed high winds for the deaths of three people this weekend.

Two men died Sunday morning when winds blew over a 6-foot-high wall that crushed them. ThinkSpain reported the men, whose names were not released, were 49 and 67. They were on their way to a farm in Cartagena to feed their livestock.

A 54-year-old woman in Badajoz died Saturday when winds blew down a metal door that fell on top of her, ThinkSpain said.

Relatives said she was still conscious when they found her, but she died later at the Almendralejo health center.

The town's mayor said the victim was married with two children.

Civil Protection officers warned people to stay away from unstable walls, trees and to take precautions during high winds.
