Queen not scheduled to meet with pope

VATICAN CITY, Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip have not made plans to visit the Vatican or meet with Pope Benedict XVI during their upcoming trip to Rome, officials said.

The queen and prince are scheduled to travel to Rome in March, ANSA reported Friday.

Church officials said Friday the queen has not yet scheduled a visit with the pope.

This will be the queen's fourth visit to Rome.

During her other trips to the city, she met with the pope.
