14 dead in Pakistan roadside bomb

MIRANSHAH, Pakistan, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- A remote-controlled explosive detonated near a Pakistani army vehicle Sunday, killing 14 people and injuring at least 22, military officials said.

The blast occurred on Razmak Road in North Waziristan, near the Afghan border, Geo News reported.

The injured security personnel were taken to the Combined Military Hospital, Dawn News reported.

The identities of the suspected perpetrators of the attack were not reported.

Meanwhile, two militants died Sunday during a clash with the Aman Lashkar peace volunteers in the Akakhel area of Khyber tribal region, local officials told Dawn News.

In another incident in the Khyber tribal region, one person was killed in an explosion in Zakakhel market in Landi Kotal.
