SHEFFIELD, England, Jan. 12 (UPI) -- Two young men charged with killing an organist who was beaten as he walked to a Christmas Eve mass in northern England appeared in court Friday.

A magistrate in Sheffield ordered Jonathan Bowling, 22, and Ashley Foster, 21, held on a charge of murder, the Daily Mirror reported. They are to appear in Crown Court Jan. 18.

Two other men have been arrested in connection with the killing of Alan Greaves, questioned and released on bail.

Greaves, 68, died three days after the attack. He was assaulted as he walked to St. Saviour's Church in High Green, a suburb of Sheffield.

Maureen Greaves, the organist's wife, sat in the back of the court during Friday's hearing.

"Justice will be done," she said as she left court with police officers.
