MILAN, Italy, Jan. 9 (UPI) -- The Italian court that ordered Silvio Berlusconi to pay millions of dollars in alimony said Wednesday there was no bias against the former prime minister.
Berlusconi, 76, blamed "feminist and Communist judges" Tuesday, the Italian news agency ANSA reported. A panel of three female judges set alimony for Berlusconi's estranged wife, Veronica Lario, at 36 million euros ($47 million) as part of the couple's divorce settlement.
The Milan criminal courts released a statement saying it "rejected with firmness any insinuation of bias" against the three judges.
