Members of the Uzbek enclave of Sokh in the Ferghana Valley allegedly attacked the post in an attempt to seize weapons from guards, RIA Novosti reported. The attackers injured some guards and took hostages from nearby villages.
Some of the hostages were released Sunday after negotiations, though 22 people are still being held, RIA Novosti reported.
"A criminal case was opened over attacks on army officials and holding of hostages," prosecutors said Monday.
