Report: Gunman kills 3 in Swiss village

DAILLON, Switzerland, Jan. 2 (UPI) -- A gunman killed three people and wounded two others Wednesday in the Swiss village of Daillon, police said.

Several people were seen lying in the street after shots were fired in the southern Switzerland village northwest of Sion, the BBC reported.

Police shot and wounded a suspect who threatened them, Swiss broadcaster RTS said.
