VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Jan. 1 (UPI) -- An autistic Canadian teenager who wandered away from home was found a day later by a group of hikers.
Police said Nicholas Graham, 13, of Vancouver appeared to be in good health in spite of a night in the open in temperatures that dropped below freezing, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported. He was discovered at 9:30 a.m. Monday by hikers on the University Endowment Lands.

Sgt. Randy Fincham, a spokesman for Vancouver police, said the boy was taken to a hospital for examination.
Nicholas was reported missing in mid-afternoon Sunday. His parents told police he likes riding buses and trains and enjoys fast-food restaurants, so the search focused on transit stations and restaurants.
