MONTREAL, Dec. 26 (UPI) -- About 4,450 Hydro-Quebec customers were still without power late Christmas Day from a snowstorm last Friday, power officials said.

Officials at Hydro-Quebec said in a release the utility had restored service to 95 percent of its customers in the Quebec areas of Outaouais, Laurentides and Lanaudiere.

At the height of the storm -- only in the Laurentians -- more than 110,000 customers were without power, Hydro-Quebec officials said.

More than 800 workers were working on getting power restored and officials said most should have power restored by Wednesday.
