CASERTA, Italy, Dec. 19 (UPI) -- Four mafia members received life sentences from an Italian court that convicted them for their roles in a 2001 murder.

The Italian news agency ANSA reported the court in Caserta Tuesday sentenced the four Camorra Mafia killers, Alessandro Cirillo, Giovanni Letizia, Francis DiMaio and Michelina Rezzo, for the killing of Michele Pietropaolo on Jan. 31, 2001, in Castel Volturno.

The Bidognetti branch of Naples' Casalesi clan killed Pietropaolo to get back money that had been extorted, prosecutors said.
