DERBY, England, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- A couple accused in the deaths of their six children in a Derby, England, house fire pleaded not guilty to six counts of manslaughter, court documents said.

Mick Philpott, 55, his wife Mairead, 31, and a third co-defendant, Paul Mosely, 45, each denied the charges in a Birmingham, England, Crown Court video-link hearing Monday.

Five of the six children, a girl and four boys aged between five and 10, died in the fire in their parents' house in May. A sixth child, a boy, 13, died later in a local hospital, the Derby, England, Telegraph reported Monday.
