Depardieu put the mansion in the Saint-German-des-Pres neighborhood up for sale three months ago, the newspaper reported.
The actor owns several businesses on the street and planned to convert the building into a high-end hotel, Radio France Internationale reported Thursday.
Depardieu recently moved just across the French border to Estaimpuis, Belgium, where about 2,800 wealthy French citizens live in order to avoid France's 75 percent tax rate for incomes more than 1 million euros ($1.3 million).
Meanwhile, Depardieu is scheduled to appear in court in January on driving drunk charges after he allegedly fell off his scooter last month in Paris, Radio France Internationale reported.
