BERLIN, Dec. 13 (UPI) -- A German Muslim organization has called for the "denazification" of German officials, saying prejudices stopped authorities from preventing 10 slayings.

The German Muslim coordination council (KRM) Wednesday presented a report on the allegedly mishandled investigation into the National Socialist Underground terrorist cell, a neo-Nazi group that killed nine Muslim civilians and a policewoman, The Local.de reported.

The council said German authorities and officials failed to prevent the deaths because of prejudice against Muslims in Germany.

Spokesman Erol Purlu said, "Those who murder Muslims today, will murder those who don't comply with them tomorrow."

The KRM demanded a "denazification" of German state authorities and officials. The council also said Germany should hold an annual memorial for the victims of neo-Nazis and teach children about the killings in school history lessons as "a problem arising out of the Nazi past."
