The sale, of which the Department of Defense notified Congress Monday, will replenish Israel's inventory after armed conflict with Palestinians in Gaza last month. During Israel's so-called Operation Pillar of Defense, Israeli forces carried out more than 1,000 attacks in Gaza, Haaretz said.
