WEST BAY, Cayman Islands, Dec. 11 (UPI) -- Cayman Islands Premier McKeeva Bush was arrested Tuesday for allegedly misusing a government credit card and importing explosive materials, police said.
Bush, 57, was taken into custody 7 a.m. at his home in West Bay, the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service website reported.
He suspected of theft in the credit card matter, as well as breach of trust, abuse of office and conflict of interest for the alleged importation of explosive substances without valid permits in February.
No other details about the arrest or investigation were available.
