ROME, Dec. 5 (UPI) --
The father who was found guilty of throwing his 16-month-old son into the Tiber River in Rome was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
Patrizio Franceschelli, 26, was convicted of throwing his baby, Claudio, from a bridge into the freezing water in February after arguing with the child's mother, ANSA reported.
Franceschelli later was stopped by police, who said he confessed.
Two boys found the body downstream near an airport a month later.
