PESHAWAR, Pakistan, Dec. 1 (UPI) -- A man believed to be an al-Qaida militant from Yemen was killed by a U.S. drone Saturday in Pakistan's tribal areas, officials said.

An official who did not want his name used said the air strike destroyed a vehicle in South Waziristan, killing the occupant.

He was tentatively identified as Abdul Rehman al-Zaman Yemeni.

Another official said a drone strike Thursday in South Waziristan killed Sheik Abdul Bari, an al-Qaida-linked militant from Saudi Arabia. Earlier reports said a missile fired by an unmanned aerial vehicle struck a car and killed three people, including a Saudi national. One person was injured.
