TEL AVIV, Israel, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- Israeli Bedouins are suspected of supplying terror groups in Gaza the locations of Israeli military bases during Operation Pillar of Defense, Maariv reported.

Members of Israel's security establishment suspect the Bedouins informed Hamas, Islamic Jihad and other Gazan terror groups of specific locations, enabling them to fire target rockets more accurately, the Hebrew language daily reported Wednesday

During the eight-day military offensive, areas surrounding Gaza and other areas in southern Israel, especially those near military bases or populated areas, were declared closed military zones, the report said. At the time, there were numerous attempts by unauthorized citizens to enter these areas, the report said.

In one instance Israeli soldiers in one of the closed zones sought cover when a siren alerted of an incoming rocket attack. While taking cover, a carload of Bedouins passed them and was later spotted climbing a hill that looks over a military base. The soldiers pursued the Bedouins who fled despite warning shots, the report said.
