Ingrid Wasinawatok, Lahe'ena'e Gay and Terence Freitas were abducted by FARC on February 25, 1999 while traveling to Bogota.

The three were later found dead with their hands tied and faces covered.

FARC said they were killed because they had not received permission to enter rebel territory.
