5.5-magnitude quake hits Indonesia

JAKARTA, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- A 5.5-magnitude earthquake hit Indonesia Wednesday, about 113 miles west of Tual, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter of earthquake, some 35 miles deep, was about 208 miles southeast of Amahai, 234 miles east-southeast of Ambon, 311 miles south of Sorong and 437 miles east-northeast of Dili, East Timor.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center's website indicated no tsunami warnings were in effect.
