ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, Nov. 26 (UPI) -- A bomb squad diffused a bomb that had been placed under the vehicle of a journalist Monday in Islamabad, Pakistan, Geo News reported.

The Geo News journalist, Hamid Mir said he parked his car near a market and when he returned to the vehicle, his driver said he noticed a suspicious bag underneath, the news agency reported.

A bomb squad removed the bag and found a half kilogram (about a pound) of explosive material, a battery, a detonator and ball bearings.
